Mr. Crusader 2014 Has Been Crowned - REJOICE! :)

The first annual "MR. CRUSADER" Pageant, held as a fundraiser by the Crusaders of the Stage out at WHS turned out to be a fun event and fairly well attended for it's first occurrence. "8" young men vied for the title "MR. CRUSADER 2014" via competitions in swimsuit, talent, interview and evening gown. Talent ranged from a weight-lifting demo to ballet, to some extremely awesome singing by the eventual winner and 1st runner-up.

Eisenhower 3rd Graders Place FIRST In State-Wide Dental Contest - WIN $500 For Their Classroom!

Congratulations to Mrs. Vanessa Sawyer and her third graders at Eisenhower. The "It's Going Down - I'm Yelling Brush" video they prepared for the state-wide Kansas Dental Association contest CAME IN FIRST PLACE!!!!! Mrs. Sawyer's classroom will receive a $500 check from the KDA for their creative efforts! Feeling proud today of our kids at Eisenhower and all the other fine schools here in Wellington - GREAT JOB EAGLES!!!


 The Wellington/Sumner County Drug Task Force consisting of officers from the Wellington Police Department and Sumner County Sheriff Office have completed a series of narcotic investigations. These investigations have been ongoing since June, 2013. Through the course of these investigations the following individuals have been arrested for various related drug offenses. Vance J.

WHS Valedictorians For 2014 Announced!

In a press release from Wellington High School and Principal Dale Adams, it was revealed today who the valedictorians for the WHS Class of 2014 will be. Congratulations to Gracie Defore, Ben DeJarnett and Holly Wright. The remaining TOP 10% include Payton Baker, Connor Church, Parker Daugherty, Kenneth Easterly, Madison Foster, Shelby Hamel, Avery Lewellen, Katie Rosenthal, Megan Singleton, Natasha Smith and Houston Sober.
