Busy weekend for Crusader Sports as the 2017 calendar season begins to run out of steam. The last action of any type prior to the holidays will be Monday, Dec. 18th at WMS. (Basketball) The Crusader Basketball Teams begin their holiday after this Friday's games at Rose Hill. The Varsity Wrestlers go on hiatus after Friday at Marion and the JV Wrestlers after this Saturday at Rose Hill.

Meanwhile, back here at the ranch - a busy weekend of both basketball and wrestling - so let's wrap it!!

The WHS Varsity Wrestlers hosted their annual invitational Saturday at WHS. 15 teams total and in the end the Wellington BOYS IN RED had fared quite well! As a team, finished 6th!!

Congrats to Senior IAN GROOM (195 lbs) - Ian went 5-0 today, finishing FIRST!!! 
Congrats to Sophomore KANDEN YOUNG (170 lbs) - Kanden went 3-1 today, finishing SECOND!!

WRESTLING ACTION PICS (Wellington Invitational)


The Cheney Invitational wrapped up Saturday, at Cheney! After road games were played at Hutch Trinity and Chaparral, everyone went "home" to Cheney for final day action, the Crusaders and Lady Crusaders were pitted against Chaparral in this final day of the 3 day round-robin tournament. By the way, in the end, it was CHENEY boys and girls that won the first place plaque, both going 3-0.

CONGRATULATIONS TO Shayland French, Avery Rusk, AJ Snipes and Ian King!! All 4 made their respective ALL TOURNAMENT TEAMS @ the Cheney Invitational that concluded on Saturday. GREAT JOB!! The "4" combined put up 186 pts. total during the 3 game tournament. AJ had 50, Avery 49, Ian 45 and Shayland 42. That's some pretty good shooting folks, especially considering the DEFENSIVE BUZZ SAWS the boys and girls in red ran into game #2! (Host Cheney) 

The Crusaders and Lady Crusaders are HOME Tuesday vs Andale and then road trip to Rose Hill as mentioned for pre-holiday season ending action. GOOD LUCK CRUSADERS!
