Male and Female Found Deceased In Rural Sumner County Saturday.

Information released from the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office


A man in his mid-30’s and a female in her mid 20’s with injuries to the head were pronounced deceased Saturday. The incident reportedly occurred between 1:30 pm and 2:45 pm July 7th. Location of the incident was East 130th Street in Sumner County.


At 245 pm Saturday afternoon, Sumner County Deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of East 130th Street for two subjects reported to be lying in the road. Medical personal were dispatched to the scene where the subjects were pronounced as deceased. An autopsy was ordered and the bodies were transported to the Forensic Center in Wichita, KS.


Agencies involved in addition to the Sumner Co. Sheriff’s Office were the Benton Police Dept. and the Wellington Police Dept. The investigation is continuing.
