Westborough Street Improvements Project
The Westborough Street Improvements Project is planned to begin Wednesday, April 4th. The project will be divided into four phases to limit the inconvenience to residents in the area, see attached phasing map (photo at top of this article). Each phase will take approximately seven days, weather permitting, and consist of existing street removal, placement of base rock and laying 2 inches of base asphalt. Once all base asphalt is complete the final 2 inch surface asphalt will be installed.
Refuse collection for the area will remain on Wednesday but may vary from morning to afternoon. Please have all refuse containers to the curb as early as possible to ensure collection each week.
As is normal with any project, construction vehicles will be moving throughout the area, even if not within a closed off phase area. Please be cautious traveling in this area over the next couple of months.
Questions may be taken directly to the contractor on site, APAC of Kansas, or the Wellington Street Department, 620-326-7831
