Since Sunday, May 15 Wellington has received nearly 3.5 inches of rain. The recent Spring showers put Sumner County in a flood warning on Tuesday morning.

The additional precipitation has caused the City of Wellington to close Woods Park until further notice due to rising water levels (see video of Woods Park from May 17).

Unofficially, Wellington has had 13.35 inches of precipitation so far in 2016m which is off the pace from a year ago when at this time there was nearly 15 inches of the wet stuff.
